Our initial article at the beginning of the year on how web hosting companies rate with the Better Business Bureau generated a lot of interest. Since then, some of the BBB’s ratings have remained the same while others have changed. Because we like to provide you with as much research information as possible for your web hosting search, here is an updated listing of BBB ratings (Current as of August 2012). Keep in mind that we do not necessary agree with all of these ratings as our experiences with certain web hosting companies may have been different. As in our original article, we’d advise you to use this information only as part of your overall research data.
InMotion:

iPage:

Go Daddy:

Bluehost:

StartLogic:

Yahoo!:

MyHosting.com:

Lunarpages:

HostNine:

Evidently they still haven’t resolved or responded to prior complaints.
Again, a good rating from the Better Business Bureau does not guarantee you’ll have a great experience with that company. Also, the distinctions between their grades on A+, A-, B+, etc. may not always be clear. While you may want to avoid those web hosting companies with the very lowest BBB grades, we would again advise you to use this information as only a small part of your decision making data.
