The value you get with iPage definitely makes them one of the top website hosting companies. I use iPage and from the time I signed up through today, I’ve been very satisfied. With your iPage hosting plan, you get many features that others might charge you extra for. Granted, they do offer you the opportunity to purchase certain premium services, but that is completely up to you. In my case, I have not had the need to add any of these other items as the standard iPage package includes everything I need for my sites.
iPage has their own custom control panel as their interface. If you’re familiar with cPanel, it is very similar. In fact, it’s probably a little more user friendly for those less experienced webmaster. You can click on an item to launch it or use the drop down menus at the top of the page. There is also a great shortcuts panel on the right side where you can quickly access your most frequent tasks.

I’ve used the live chat customer support feature on several occasions for assistance. A couple of times, I’ve had to wait some time before a support tech person came online. This would be the only not so great thing I’ve experienced with iPage. However, once the support person came online, they proved to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Perhaps it may be better to contact iPage by phone for support as they say calls are usually answered in less than two minutes. However, I usually prefer to use live chat and as I said they have always been able to respond and answer any questions I’ve had. Below is a sample conversation from one of my chat support sessions:

Mike: How do I access and activate the autoresponder email feature?

They easily understood what I am trying to say and replied me in quite polite way, that made me sign up with them and I say I have done the right decision to host my website with them. I will rate 10 out of 10 to ipage for making my online work fast and easy.

i’m surprised i haven’t heard of them since they’ve been around since 1998! maybe they are quite achievers? Do they still have the $4 unlimited plan? That’s an absolute bargain!
